In 2014 we launched our 'Bunker Marketplace' technology platform as a direct result of the market needing to conclude direct sales in a secure, confidential and transparent way. It enables suppliers to market their product in a fast and efficient way to the major buyers of bunkers with peace of mind that all buyers have been vetted by them.
For the buyer it allows anonymous pooling of volume with other buyers, just as large traders have traditionally done. This enables suppliers to offer exceptional pricing structures to secure volume. In addition, buyers are able to post anonymous firm counters into the market to ensure best daily pricing.

Building on our ethos of connecting buyers with suppliers, in 2015 we launched a revolutionary online networking platform called BunkerPulse. Built around the familiar social network format, BunkerPulse is the place for the bunker industry professionals to connect, stay informed and do more business.

Paul Hardy CEO
Paul worked for a number of years as International Sales and Marketing manager for Cockett Marine Oil Limited. Responsibilities included negotiating global long term supply contracts, structuring of high volume contracts for blue-chip clients and developing and implementing a hedging strategy for the Group. Special focus was on emerging markets and how to lever profit for both trader and physical supplier using hedging tools. In recent years business interests have predominantly involved the financing of fuel oil and MGO cargoes out of the Eastern Mediterranean and consultancy for a well established physical supplier.

Justin Shardlow Product Director
As director of a successful software development company, Justin has worked with internet technologies and web based software platforms since the late 1990s. He has created and delivered software products ranging from marketing and partner portals, sales lead management and team management through to credit reporting, online booking systems and e-commerce, working across sectors including marine, automotive, health and leisure, education, government and IT. Justin's company was one of the first to offer web-to-print technology in the UK and in 2006 Justin sold part of his business to focus on the creation and growth of a new marketing portal platform, Pacific Marketing Hub. Today Pacific Marketing Hub is used globally by many channel based and franchised businesses to connect and manage their marketing operations.

Colin Maund Director
Colin has worked in a variety of roles all of which have been focused around the application of technology to business process improvement. He specialised in the development of procurement and worked for a variety of organisations including British Coal, HM Treasury, and the CBI before founding Achilles Group in the UK in 1993. By 2008 Achilles employed more than 800 people in 28 countries and was sold to a private equity company that year. Colin left the business in 2011 and has since set up a new company, Hellios, which focuses on procurement. Colin was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for IT Services in 2009 and became a Trustee of the Outward Bound Trust in 2012 after a long association with the charity.
